An Analysis of Need in Orange County
In collaboration with Charitable Ventures, this needs assessment was implemented to assess the current state of the region’s response to food insecurity, and to help the OC Hunger Alliance identify ways to collectively drive longer-term solutions that address root causes of poverty and hunger from a place of equity.

OCHA Community Convening: November 12, 2025
OCHA brought the community together for a convening on the impacts of HR1 (“One Big Beautiful Bill Act”), which will significantly reduce access to CalFresh, CalOptima, and other safety net programs.

OCHA shared key findings from its new community needs assessment with more than 200 cross-sector stakeholders. The survey underscored a growing need to acknowledge the interconnectedness of economic, social, and system factors perpetuating the hunger crisis.
